About Omō
Strategic Preconstruction Leadership
Building Alignment Before Construction Begins
Architects design. Contractors build. Owners invest.
Each plays a critical role in a project’s success — but too often, these teams operate in silos. Without alignment from the start, projects lose money, blow past deadlines, and require costly redesigns.
Omō exists to change that. We lead the preconstruction process—the phase where vision, design, and dollars first intersect. Our work ensures every team member understands the same goals from day one, protecting both design intent and financial feasibility.
Our Story
Omō was founded by Heather Gardner, an Interior Design and Construction Management professional with more than 20 years in the AEC industry. Heather’s graduate research on communication in construction — published internationally — examined how and why projects fall apart.
That research became the foundation of Omō’s framework for alignment: a process that saved owners $15 million on the Jim Thorpe Building renovation and $500,000 on Langston University’s Allied Health Building - a $2 million historic renovation, all while protecting design integrity.
What “Omō” Means
The Japanese word omō means “thought” or “insight.”
That’s what we bring to every project — the thoughtfulness to anticipate challenges, the insight to align vision and budget, and the leadership to keep teams moving in sync from vision to reality.
